The student will learn Ballroom Dance, Swing Dance, Latin Dance, and Pilates from Darcie Star, Yoga from Kathy Hannewinkle, and Belly Dance from Melissa Schartman.

Introduction to Ballroom Dance
This class will cover several dances including Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Swing, Cha-cha and Rumba. You will be introduced to the music for each dance, the basic step patterns, learn the rhythm and timing, and begin your lead and follow skills. The dances will rotate and you can take as many rotations as you like. Plan to be at this level for at least eight to eighteen weeks. Partner recommended not required. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and heels for ladies, leather soled dress shoe for gentlemen or invest in proper dance shoes.

Swing and Latin Dance
This class will focus on Swing, Cha-cha and Rumba. An introduction to Samba, Merengue, Mambo (Salsa) and Bolero will be infused from time to time. The patterns will be in the Bronze and Silver level (intermediate to advanced). You will work on foot articulation, timing changes, turning techniques, latin hip motion, music interpretation and refine your leading and following skills. Partner strongly recommended not required. Wear dance attire you can move in yet fitted enough so that the instructor can still see your body and latin sandals or practice shoes for ladies, latin or practice shoe for gentlemen.

Advanced Ballroom Workshop
This will be taught in an interactive workshop format. We will dissect your dancing and work on the appropriate techniques necessary to take you to the "goosebumps" level (that's when people watch you dance and they get goosebumps). Limited to 10 participants so you will get an expert's eye on exactly what facial expression, leg lines, body shaping, footwork, arm, head and hand styling will fit you and send your audience to the moon with delight. Wear practice clothes, proper shoes (both sandal and court shoe for ladies and smooth and latin shoes for men). You will need a partner for this class and connection exercises and technique will be stressed.

Yoga
Hatha yoga tought by Kathy Hannewinkle. Come enjoy an early stretch and strengthing in a gentle and relaxed atmosphere. Bring a yoga mat if you have one. Done in bare feet and body contouring, flexible clothing. $10 per person per class or 2 for $18 arrive 10 minutes early for your first class. Tuesday
9:30 - 10:30 AM
Pilates
This is an excellent class for dancers and athletes, taught by a dancer! Bring your yoga or pilates mat and a theraband or similar stretch band to class. Wear stretchy body hugging clothes and go barefoot. You will be challenged and progress is assured. A full body workout is provided with minimal equipment. $10 per person per class
Saturday
12 - 1 PM
Dance Like The Stars
Each week we will choose a dance from the hat and choreograph a routine for that dance. It's a great way to learn some fun, interesting movement. Simple entrances and exits will be shown, showmanship will be taught and emphasized and you'll be bubbling over with energy and confidence after every class. All levels welcome to participate. Bring a partner to get the most out of it, come by yourself and see if a partner shows up or just follow along to get some exercise and learn some cool stuff. Wear comfortable clothes and practice shoes. (no tennis shoes)

1 - 2 PM
All That Swing
TCome prepared to learn many different styles of Swing; East Coast, West Coast, Lindy-Hop, Imperial and more...it's a swingsation station. There will be some workshop time for level appropriate dips, tricks and air steps (safety first). Please bring a partner and sign a waiver for the dips tricks and air, otherwise partner is recommended not required. Wear swing shoes, ballroom practice shoes or jazz sneakers and comfortable clothing.
Saturday
2 - 3 PM
Belly Dance
The first part of this class is based on a Yoga and Pilates warm up for proper stretching and strengthening. You will then move into the beautiful art of Belly dancing, expressing your femininity and learning rhythmic isolatons and hypnotic movement with Melissa Schartman.
